ASSOCIATION GOZNAK OF THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION 

       Association Goznak of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation is the Association of State Enterprises and Organizations for Manufacturing State Notes. Goznak is the unique complex of enterprises in Russia for speciality papers, banknotes, documents and security papers, map papers (military/non-military), excise, special and postage stamps, coins and orders production. 

       Goznak incorporates 4 Printing Plants, 2 Paper Mills, 2 Mints and Research Institute. 
       All the interprises of the Association are provided with modern equipment and utilize advanced technology. 
       Enterprises of Association Goznak have licenses Nos 1, 2, 3, 4 of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation to manufacture the most demanding bearer securities and guarantee high level of the products security in accordance with the securities specifications.   
       Having become a successor of the oldest and unique enterprises Goznak carefully pre-served the experience and traditions of the old masters. 
       The use of historic parallels and national color imparts vivid artistic individuality to Goznak products. The products artistic qualities are integrally combined with the high level of security. 
       Goznak is one of the oldest enterprises of the similar kind in Europe.

PAPERMAKING 

      Paper Mills of Association Goznak have 2 centuries experience of banknote and document paper production. Thanks to combining old secrets and traditions with recent developments, state-of-the-art engineering and technology the Association papermaking has become genuine art. 

      Today Paper Mills of Association Goznak offer the customer the following paper range.
 
Banknote paper - 12 security levels are provided. 

Paper for production of securities (shares, bonds, certificates etc.) - with the local, band, general watermark; with the trade containing microtext and other security features. 

Firm paper - for office activity, form of a company production, that will allow the customer to form his own original and refined style with the custom - made watermarks. The paper is suited for printers and copying machines. 

General application paper: 

       offset paper 50-235 gsm with different surface finish and brightness, embossed paper like linen - embossed, leather imitation, texture paper; 
       coated paper - surface-sized paper, 75, 100, 250 gsm,for multicolor printing: book, magazine, poster, art postcard, calendar soft and dust covers; 
       chart paper with improved strength and stability, including paper with chemical cottonpulp content; 
       drawing paper - conventional, transparent and heavy with cotton fiber suitable for mine surveying; 
       postage - stamp paper - gummed coated one - side paper; 
       office paper for A-4, A-3 xerocopying and various printers, also in rolls, for engineering (plotters) with xerographic, jet and other image reproduction technique; writing paper; offset paper of different colors; 
       technical paper - wall, diazotype tracing, diagram, wrapping paper. 

Paper Mills highly skilled specialists will select and work out paper characteristics and specification according to its application, printing methods and further processing. 

       Papermaking process flows are fit with the unique equipment, including cylinder mould paper machines, lines of sheet paper automatic cutting, sorting and counting of well-known companies "Voith" , "Goebel", "Bielomatik", Will", "Ahlstrohm". 
       New modern equipment and advanced technologies allow to produce paper meeting Europian standards and customer's requirements.

PRINTING PRODUCTION       

       For Printing Plants which are incorporated into Association Goznak manufacture a wide range of printed products. 

       In connection with the issue state orders the decree of the Goverment of the Russian Federation granted Goznak the exclusive right to use intaglio and Orlov printing to produce printing products. 

       The unique experience with securities, the use in production advanced technologies and the most modern equipment of well-known foreign companies allow to offer the customers the products with guaranteed high-level security: 

       Banknotes; securities (shares, bonds, certificates, bills); 
       bank documents, cash deposit bankbooks, cheques and cheque books, insurance policies and certificates; 
       lottery, transport tickets, sick lists, 

       book production: passports, certificates, passes,diplomas;
       congratulations, treaty and directory folders; 

       stamps - postage, tax, duty, excise etc. 
       Offset, gravure and intaglio printing allow 4-, 5-, 6-color reproduction of complicated artistic stamps with the use of lacquer, embossing and numbering; 

       plastic cards: telephone, discount, club and bank cards. 
       Wide experience of talented artists will help to create the unique design while manufacturing such products as: 

       envelopes: marked and unmarked, blank and firm, of different sizes; 

       invitation and congratulation cards (including personal), on art and embossed paper, with foil and relief stamping, figure edge, blanking or cutting. 

       Also it is possible to manufacture color wall calendars and posters according to the customer' s topic with the use of the customer's logo.

ANTI-COUNTERFEITING PROTECTION OF BANKNOTES, DOCUMENTS AND SECURITIES 

       The history of currency and securities circulation demonstrates that at all times their counterfeiting - from their full reproduction to the attemps to alter their content was a standard practice. Inexperienced customers try to make documents and securities at a low possible price, however such savings are apparent. Their relatively low protection attracts criminals. False documents and securities inflict material and moral damage to the company - the customer loses confidence both in the documents and in the manufacturing company. 

       In Russia only Association Goznak provides unique high-quality anti-counterfeiting protection of banknotes, documents, securities, excise labels and other products. 

       The Association offers the customers the following kinds of Goznak anti-counterfeiting protection products:

Diffraction elements (holograms) 

       After banknotes, documents and securities production sertificate of quality with the description of security elements is issued to the customer. Certificate of quality is issued for every kind of product in three copies: the first copy is delivered to the customer, the second is left at the enterprise of Goznak, the third together with the product sample is delivered to the Ministry of the Russian Federation.
